Pastor Jim Covington

At this time of year, we celebrate many festivals: Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa and others. We say Happy Holidays to be inclusive, which actually means: Happy Holy Days. All the “holy days” we celebrate are embedded in stories– stories, not to be believed in literally, but to be interpreted as conveying yearnings of the human heart. This will be the theme of my homily this Sunday in regard to Christmas: Merry Christmas! (The Real Story).

There will be lots of Christmas caroling and THE CHILDREN’S CHOIR and FELLOWSHIP CHOIR will sing at the 11:00 a.m. service!

See you Sunday! Merry Christmas and Happy Holy Days to all and to all, a festive Sunday service!
