I’ve Grown Accustomed to Your Face: In Celebration of Intimacy.

Or “The Acid Test of Love.” Or “We Are, Therefore, We Love.” Or “Our Oh So, Fragile Human Relationships.”

I could go on. I originally thought I would speak to the growing cultural strife between Muslim countries and western democracies, as we have painfully witnessed this week with media images of people in the Muslim world reacting to the cartoons of Muhammad in European newspapers. Perhaps we are indeed becoming more engaged in a war of civilizations. I will speak to this at a later date, however. I’ve decided to go with Valentine—After all, in a time when we are so inundated with media news of strife and violence, perhaps a note of appreciation for the connections we share—in all relationships–can be a healing and nurturing message we can use.
