Ward says, “On September 26 last year, some 400 stalwart citizens (including many UUs) demonstrated in front of the White House, demanding an end to the senseless and tragic war in Iraq. Without a permit from the Washington police, they were arrested, thus embracing a tenant of our faith going back at least as far as Henry David Thoreau.” Come join us on February 19 when Ward Morehouse, one of the founders of our congregation challenges all of us to exercise our Constituional rights to assemble peacefully and petition the government for redress of grievances.
