Program: Dale Williams “Midnight Run”

The Midnight Run is a group of more than one hundred churches, synagogues, societies, and civic organizations across the metropolitan area. In 1,000 trips per year, volunteers travel into Manhattan; there they seek out the homeless poor. They deliver clothing, food, blankets, and personal care items. People –homeless and homed- get a chance to connect on a personal level. Dale Williams has been the Executive Director of Midnight Run for the last 16 years. Dale Williams of Midnight Run will discuss homelessness. He was homeless for more than 2 years, and has been the Executive Director of Midnight Run since 1991. He will talk about homelessness from both a physical and emotional perspective, and about ways we can help those less fortunate. Questions are welcome.
