The sermon topic this Sunday is Beauty is Truth, Truth Beauty, a title obviously based on the Keats’ Ode to a Grecian Urn. While the world we inhabit is filled with ugliness and tragedy, sorrow and grief, I nevertheless also witness from time to time, a greater standard which never ceases to inspire and move me: beauty. Especially in the Spring. But what is beauty, and why do we need it? We seek beauty in many ways–art, music, nature, to name a few, and sometimes, yes, in superficial ways. Why? What is the Truth of (real) Beauty?

We will also welcome three of our newest members on Sunday. And the music will be wonderful! And the spirit of our beloved community will be healing.

This will be our last formal service until September. Look for announcements regarding our summer lay-led services. See you at the Fellowship. Jim Covington
