Lifespan Religious Education

Religious Education Mission Statement

To provide ongoing, structured opportunities to develop a religious identity
that is personally meaningful, deeply felt, and based on UU principles,
in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and loving.

Our Approach to Religious Education

We believe in the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.  Our Lifespan Religious Education Program is grounded in this belief and is guided by our commitment to liberal religious principles.

Our children are taught, both in the classroom and as part of congregational life, to respect the inherent dignity and worth of every human being, the democratic process, the interdependent web of life, and the use of reason in their faith lives.  They are also introduced to the many paths to truth that peoples around the world have followed.

Adult faith development is geared toward the deepening of our spiritual, moral and intellectual lives.  We do this in a wide variety of ways including classes, discussion groups and meditation circles.

All of our exploring is done in the context of our community and our Unitarian Universalist heritage.
