General Guidelines & Information
Sunday Morning Religious Education Classes
Every Sunday, a short children’s worship service is offered in the Fellowship Hall, prior to classes. Several times a year, the children join the adults in the sanctuary for multi-generational services; at other times, the children will join the adults for the initial portion of the service.
For Infants and Toddlers:
Babysitting for infants and toddlers is offered at both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services.
For children in Pre-K through 8th Grade:
A full religious education program is offered at our 11:00 a.m. service. Age-appropriate classes are offered for children from pre-school through 8th grade. Please click here to review the curriculum for this year.
For High School Students:
Programs are also available for high school students. For more information on our Senior Youth Group, please visit the Junior & Senior Youth Groups page.
Expectations for Parents & Guardians
We expect parents and guardians of children attending our program to respect and appreciate the importance of religious education in their child(ren)’s life and the role they play in the development of their child’s religious identity. Therefore, it is our expectation that parents and guardians will:
- Complete a registration form for each participating child at the beginning of each year. (Download the form here.)
- Make an effort to have each child attend on a regular basis.
- Speak with teachers about what is being discussed and carry that conversation into the care for the ride home.
- Be cognizant of time: please plan to arrive with enough time to settle your child(ren) in their classroom(s) by 11:00 a.m.
- Parents of Pre-K through 3rd Graders must pick up their child(ren) from classroom(s) by 12:05pm, before coffee hour.
- Understand that once a child is released to his or her parent/caregiver, our formal responsibility for supervision ends.
- Apprise the DRE and teachers of special events or concerns in the child’s life.
- Expect and promote good behavior in the classroom and respect for the teacher.
- Ask questions and offer insights.
- Honor scheduled “helping hands” assignment or find a replacement.
